“We are faced in our times with grave new problems. Few of the old answers any longer suffice – we have to find new answers, and that is why we have to encourage bold new thinking by every means…Education’s chief function is to stimulate such thinking and to open the road to intellectual experimentation and discovery.”
(Hubert H. Humphrey, Commencement Address, 1949)
For over 25 years, the Rosenberg/Humphrey (RH) Program has translated Senator Humphrey’s vision and CCNY alumnus Marvin Rosenberg’s dedication into a program combining policy and public service.
RH-sponsored summer internships offer undergraduates the chance to learn first hand about policy through public service in non-profit and government agencies located in New York City and Washington, DC.
RH-sponsored lectures offer the greater City College community opportunities for direct exchange with today’s leaders and decision makers.
Finally, an RH-coordinated interdisciplinary minor in public policy and affairs offers today’s students a chance to prepare to help solve tomorrow’s policy challenges.
